Foraging

Foraging is integral to our business and ethos. We recycle nature to produce stunning, eco-friendly prints and cards sourced exclusively from the New Forest in Dorset. Each leaf has a unique character, from Field Maple to Lady Fern, and we embrace the imperfections that come with the foraging process. We're committed to sustainable foraging, only using fallen leaves or trimmings, and leaving no trace behind. Discover the beauty of nature through our collection and more information on my favourite leaves below:

Check out the leaves I forage from The New Forest below:

Ferns & Bracken

Ferns & Cedar

Our most popular foraged leaves in the New Forest include Lady Ferns, Bracken, Red Cedar, and Male Ferns. However, the foraging process can be challenging since there is a short window before the leaves become brittle. In the spring, we look forward to the baby ferns making their return.

Ivy & Maples

While Ivy and Maples may appear similar at first glance, Ivy leaves have a more rectangular shape than Maples. Both leaves have intricate hairs that create beautiful prints.

Lords & Ladies & Common Sorrel

Large, shiny ‘arrow’ shaped leaves that are dark green but can have black or purple spots. I am working hard on the best way to print these leaves at the moment as they are a really funky shape!

Holm Oak, Wych Elm & Horse Chestnut Leaf

The most hardy and resilient leaves that are notoriously challenging to print on due to their sturdy nature.

Hybrid Black, White Poplar & Sycamore leaves

Large, shiny ‘arrow’ shaped leaves that are dark green but can have black or purple spots. I am working hard on the best way to print these leaves at the moment as they are a really funky shape!

Common Laburnum & Rowan

Intricate leaf design with very thin leaves which need a lot of drying in order to print effectively. But a really beautiful and detailed print can be achieved from this type of leaf!
